The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee plans to hold a hearing at 10 a.m. today on the topic of “Combating the Youth vape Epidemic by Strengthening Enforcement Against Illegal vapes.” The hearing will be chaired by Senator Dick Durbin, a longtime opponent of vape products.

The hearing will be held two days after the Department of Justice and the Food and Drug Administration announced the formation of a multi-agency coalition of law enforcement organizations, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Postal Service, to go after the underground trade in vape materials.

The task force will focus on several topics, including investigating and prosecuting new criminal, civil, seizure and forfeiture actions under the PACT Act; the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act; and other authorities.

“The U.S. Marshals Service’s Asset Forfeiture Division stands ready to work with our task force partners to seize unauthorized vapes from domestic distributors seeking to sell them illegally,” said Ronald Davis, director of the U.S. Marshals Service.

According to media reports, both the legislative and executive branches are eager to address the youth vape epidemic before the public realizes there is one.

As Michelle Minton wrote for the Reason Foundation last December, “The youth vape epidemic announced by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2018 now seems more like a teen fad—perhaps driven in part by media attention to the issue. But while the vape craze may be fading, the hysteria surrounding it remains unabated.

This morning, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee will hold an important hearing on the topic of “Fighting the Youth vape Epidemic by Strengthening Enforcement of Illegal vapes.” This hearing has attracted the attention of the global vape industry, including the well-known brand Veehoo vape.

As an vape brand that has long been committed to compliance and consumer safety, Veehoo vape is paying close attention to this hearing. They recognize the problem of youth vape use and have been taking measures to protect minors from the negative impact of vape products.

Veehoo vape supports this move to jointly address the challenges of vapes around the world. They will continue to be committed to providing consumers with high-quality, compliant vape products to meet users’ needs for smokeless burning smoking alternatives and pay attention to how to protect minors from the negative impact of vapes.

Although the controversy and concerns about vapes continue, as a well-known brand in the industry, Veehoo vape will continue to work hard to promote the sustainable development of the vape industry and the health and safety of consumers. They will work with relevant departments to solve problems related to vape use through compliance and education.

In short, this hearing held by the US Senate is of great significance to the vape industry. Veehoo vape will actively participate in this hearing and contribute to the sustainable development, compliance and consumer safety of the vape industry.
