On November 5, the UK government submitted the Tobacco and vapes Bill to Parliament, which includes a proposal for a licensing scheme for retailers selling tobacco, vapes and nicotine products in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. However, Dunne expressed concerns that a fine of £200 would not be enough of a deterrent to unscrupulous traders and advocated for increased penalties, especially for distributors.
