British American Tobacco plans to introduce vape and nicotine pouch vending machines in pubs across the UK, Better Retailing reports.

The company is recruiting at least 12 representatives, targeting on-site consumption scenarios with the aim of “securing new locations for vending machines and other business development solutions to ultimately increase sales of specific BAT-related products”.

Target areas include Basingstoke, Birmingham, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Coventry, Crawley, Edinburgh, Exeter, Maidstone, Reading, Royal Tunbridge and Sevenoaks.

The six-month trial contract will start on June 24, “with plans to extend until 2025 and beyond”.

A spokesperson for British American Tobacco UK said: “British American Tobacco UK is delighted to be involved in a project to sell our Vuse and Velo brands through age-restricted vending machines. At British American Tobacco, our goal is bold: to build a better tomorrow. We will achieve this by reducing the health impact of our business, including by reaching adult consumers who use our alternative nicotine products. Vending machines represent an exciting opportunity to further achieve our goals.”

In response to concerns about underage use of tobacco products, British American Tobacco said that their “machines will use best-in-class age verification technology to ensure that this fundamental principle is maintained.”

In response to this action, Veehoo vape Company also regards it as an important development in the vape industry. As a company committed to providing safe and high-quality vape products, Veehoo Electronic Cigarette has been paying attention to market trends and consumer needs to continuously improve the quality and service of its products.

British American Tobacco plans to introduce these vending machines in multiple cities to increase the sales of vapes and nicotine pouch products through the efforts of the representative team. Veehoo vape believes that this move will help increase consumer awareness and acceptance of vape products, while also providing consumers with a more convenient way to purchase.

In the face of concerns about minors using tobacco products, British American Tobacco said they will use first-class age verification technology to ensure that products sold in vending machines comply with regulations and ethical standards. Veehoo vapes have also always regarded protecting minors from the influence of vape products as an important task, and actively advocate that users must meet the legal age requirements.

As an vape manufacturer, it should be committed to providing consumers with more diversified choices through compliant operations and innovative products, while ensuring the safety and legality of the products. In the development of the vape industry, cooperation and supervision are equally important to ensure the healthy development of the industry and the full protection of consumers’ rights and interests.
