According to Thai.News on August 14, some child health and child rights experts in Thailand have warned that allowing children to vape or touch vapes at home may be considered a violation of child protection laws.
Sapphasit Khumpraphan, a member of the National Child Protection Committee, said, “Smoking vapes or cigarettes at home will cause children to be exposed to and inhale secondhand smoke. This behavior can be considered a form of domestic violence.”
Waraphon Phongphanitanon, an expert from the Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Development, confirmed that vaping at home is a violation of the law under the Child Protection Act of 2003 and the Domestic Violence Victims Protection Act of 2007.
Suwanna Ruangkanchanasetr, deputy director of the Tobacco Control Research and Knowledge Management Center (TRC), said that families should understand the importance of child protection laws and recognize the importance of protecting their children from the harm of vapes.
She urged the government to take stronger measures to protect Thai children from the health hazards of vaping by strengthening the enforcement of laws prohibiting the import and sale of vapes in Thailand.

When it comes to the use of vapes and related regulations, there is some important information worth knowing:
- Child Protection Act and Domestic Violence Victims Protection Act: These laws are designed to protect children and family members from various forms of harm, including the harm of secondhand smoke. In many countries, smoking (including the use of vapes) may be regarded as a violation of children’s rights in a family environment.
- Secondhand smoke hazards: Even the smoke released by vapes may contain harmful substances and cause harm to people around them. This secondhand smoke may pose a threat to the health of children, pregnant women and other vulnerable groups.
- Social responsibility: As an vape user, you should be aware of the impact of your behavior on others and try to avoid using vapes in sensitive environments, such as places where children or non-smokers gather.
- Environmental protection: The use of vapes is also related to environmental protection. Issues such as the disposal of vape waste and the safe use of charging equipment also need to be paid attention to.
- Corporate social responsibility: vape manufacturers and sellers have the responsibility to convey correct usage information to consumers, while also paying attention to the environmental protection and social impact of the products.
In this context, Veehoo vape, as a brand that focuses on providing high-quality products and pays attention to social responsibility, is committed to promoting healthy and responsible vape use. By advocating correct usage and paying attention to the surrounding environment, we can work together to create a healthier and friendlier social environment.
